THE METHOD OF EXPRESS READING OF NEWS TEXT WHEN TEACHING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Abstracts

Introduction. The article substantiates the relevance of creating and developing methods of working with texts of various styles and genres when teaching foreign students Russian. The purpose of the article is to substantiate and reveal the methodology of teaching a foreign student at the initial stages of mastering the Russian language to quickly and effectively read a news text.

Materials and methods. The main research methods are the analysis of scientific literature, as well as diagnostic methods, including observation, description, conversation, questioning, testing.

Results. An effective step-by-step method of working with news texts has been developed in teaching Russian as a foreign language to students who are starting to learn Russian.

Discussion. When using the proposed methodology, teachers of Russian as a foreign language can make additions and adjustments related both to the ethnocultural characteristics of the thinking of students of different ethnic groups, and to the stage of mastering the Russian language.

Conclusion. The method of rapid reading of news text in teaching Russian as a foreign language consists of stages: understan-

ding the General subject of the text, highlighting lexical dominants (numerals, proper names, verbs, repeating lexemes), determining the meaning of keywords.

Highlights

The place of a news story in the structure of the communicative needs of a foreign student who has started studying at a Russian University has been determined;

Developed a functional step-by-step method for effective high-speed reading of news texts by students studying Russian as a foreign language;

The proposed method is included in the system of teaching Russian as a foreign language: the aspects of linguoculturological, lexicological and grammatical training that are basic for teaching Express reading and, accordingly, should precede it are identified.
