CONTENT OF LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL COMPETENCE OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF INITIAL EDUCATION IN STUDYING PAREMIOLOGY
Abstracts

Introduction. The article presents the area of linguoculturological knowledge, skills and actions of students of the faculty of training primary school teachers, necessary for organizing students in elementary school to get acquainted with superword units of language and speech and to form their communicative competence. Paremiological units (proverbs) are also considered as an object of study and didactic material in Russian language lessons in elementary school. Formulated provisions for teaching younger schoolchildren to the Russian language at extracurricular or additional classes in the aspect of mastering the proverbial fund. The linguistic and cultural properties of a proverb are objects of study

 

and at the same time material illustrating the theory of the native language. Presented the necessary grounds for the development of proverbs, as well as the specifics of teaching younger students in additional classes in the Russian language. The purpose of this publication is to identify and analyze the characteristics of the range of linguistic and cultural competence of students to organize the study of proverbs in elementary school, depending on their linguistic nature.

Methods and materials. The main research methods were the analysis of scientific literature, as well as descriptive, distributive, linguoculturological. The material for the analysis was the programs and textbooks on the Russian language and dictionaries of Russian proverbs.

Results. First, the features of the organization of educational activities in the elementary school were revealed when studying the proverbs of the Russian language, which the future teacher should take into account when preparing lessons. Linguocultural features of proverbs are presented as one of the stimulating conditions for students to master these units. Secondly, the substantive content of the linguistic and culturological competence, which a graduate student should possess, is determined.

Discussion. The goal of mastering the philological block of disciplines is the formation of basic and cultural knowledge about the unity of the linguocultural space of Russia, which must be solved using both traditional and innovative methods.

Conclusion. The study of the proverbial level is characterized as a condition for the formation of speech (or communicative) competence: communicators, using the proverbs in communication, will be able to more clearly, more voluminously convey information, express their attitude to something. Proverbs are full-fledged didactic material for the development of any topics on the Russian language and literary reading.

Highlights

The linguistic-cultural competence area of a graduate student should include knowledge of the content of curricula and textbooks in Russian for elementary school, the ability to use materials for further education and self-education, to own an action algorithm for organizing lessons and extracurricular classes in mastering the paremiological foundation of the native language;

linguistic and cultural properties of a proverb determine the content of the  future cultural linguo-cultural competence;

Paremiological level of language is systematically mastered by students in elementary school due to the special linguistic nature;

Mastering the proverbial level makes it possible to realize the interactive principle of learning; learning proverbs is possible both in lessons and in extracurricular activities;

The paremiological foundation is a carrier and keeper of ethnocultural stereotypes, therefore, it has educational potential and serves as an incentive for reflection and self-education.
