THE APPLICATION OF INFORMATION-COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN HIGHER SCHOOL
Abstracts

Introduction. The problem of organizing effective teaching foreign language has led to the need to search for new methods and technologies of teaching. This article discusses the use of information-communication technologies and their integration into the process of teaching foreign language in higher school. The authors focus on the advantages of using information-communication technologies in the educational process for more successful formation of speech skills and increasing motivation to learn a foreign language. The purpose of the article is to justify the advantages of using information-communication technologies in the process of teaching foreign language in higher education.

Materials and methods. When working on the article, the following research methods were used: review of Russian and foreign scientists’ works; the positive aspects of the use of information-communication technologies in foreign language classes in higher school are considered, and an attempt is made to justify the need for their use in the modern educational process.

Results. The analysis of the work at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the South Ural State Humanities-Pedagogical University made it possible to formulate and justify a number of recommendations for the effective use of information-communication technologies in the process of teaching foreign language in higher education.

Discussion. The article substantiates the need to use information-communication technologies to optimize teaching foreign language, as well as to increase interest in the topics taught, and in the foreign language in general.

Conclusion. The experience of using information-communication technologies convincingly proves that their use in the educational process improves the quality of learning, on the one hand, and on the other hand, motivates students to learn foreign language at a higher level.
