Introduction. The article is devoted to the topical issue of education of sports culture of the personality of future bachelors of physical culture. The possibilities of the educational potential of the university in this direction are considered. The structural elements of the educational environment of the university of physical culture, which affect the effectiveness of the process of educating the sports culture of the personality of students, are revealed: information-cognitive, social-communicative, material-technical, emotional-event, physical culture-sports, value-semantic.

Materials and methods. The main methods of researching the problem of education of sports culture of the personality of future bachelors of physical culture in the educational environment of the university are: questioning, observation, questioning, theoretical analysis and generalization. The study of foreign and domestic experience in researching the possibilities of the educational potential of the university in the education and sports culture of the individual.

Results. The components (information-cognitive, social-communicative, material-technical, emotional-event, physical culture-sports, value-semantic) of the educational environment of the university are revealed. A set of diagnostic parameters has been developed to identify the level of education of a person's sports culture.

Discussion. The importance of the educational environment of a higher educational institution in the formation of a sports culture of a personality among students of a higher education institution of physical culture is emphasized. Our observations show that students are not fully aware of the activities of the coach. Often this mission is interpreted one-sidedly: “A coach must educate champions”, or “A coach must form healthy lifestyle skills”.

Conclusion. Qualitative characteristics of the components of a personality's sports culture are described and proposed. Applying the pedagogical conditions identified in the structure of the educational environment of a higher educational institution of a physical culture and sports profile, it is possible to educate a person's subjective qualities, allowing him to become full-fledged bearers of sports culture.
