Introduction. The article presents an analysis of scientific approaches to the study of teenage identity. The author has set a goal - to analyze the experience accumulated in psychological and pedagogical science and practical activities in the application of effective technologies for self-determination of the younger generation. In the course of a theoretical analysis of the literature on the problem posed and a study of the practical experience of teachers and educational psychologists, the most universal and frequently used technologies for shaping the identity of adolescents were identified. The article reveals the possibilities of technologies based on the communicative process (educational conversation, dispute and debate), gaming technologies and social activity technologies (social test technology, technology of collective creative affairs, social project).
Materials and methods. The main research methods are the theoretical analysis of the literature on the problem posed and the study of the practical experience of teachers and educational psychologists of the school, which in turn made it possible to determine the most universal and frequently used technologies for the formation of adolescents' identity.
Results. As a result of the study, practically significant information was obtained that can be used in the process of shaping the identity of teenagers.
Discussion. Identity is a multi-level and multi-aspect phenomenon, which, according to the author's definition of V.L. Abushenko, is “the correlation of something (“having being”) with itself in the connectedness and continuity of its own variability and conceivable in this capacity (“observer”, telling about “himself” and “others” about it in order to confirm its self-equality )” [1].
Conclusion. The conclusion is made about the importance and necessity of using psychological and pedagogical technology in the formation of a teenager's identity, since a large number of teenagers are in the virtual world, outside of reality, which leads to irreversible negative processes in the formation of a person's identity.
