FEATURES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING FOR PARENTS DURING THE PERIOD OF CHIL-DREN’S ADAPTATION TO PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION CONDITIONS
Abstracts

Introduction. Adaptation plays a decisive role in the comprehensive development of the individual and its successful interaction with other people. It is successful adaptation processes that make it possible to establish relationships with strangers and get used to changes in the situation and contribute to the further satisfactory entry of the individual into society. Preschool age is sensitive for the development of social skills and the ability to be a full part of society. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and experimentally identify the most pressing problems in the process of children’s adaptation to kindergarten conditions.

Materials and methodsThe main stages of experimental research: search and preparatory, experimental, control and generalization. Methodological tools: theoretical — analysis, synthesis, generalization, goal setting, modeling; empirical – observation, survey, ascertaining and shaping experiments using two psychodiagnostic techniques: “Diagnostics of the level of adaptation of a child to a preschool institution” (A. S. Ronzhina), “Study of the degree of adaptation to preschool educational institutions” (A.I. Ostroukhova). The study involved 30 junior preschoolers, of which 18 were girls and 12 boys, pupils from two groups, under the age of 3. The study was conducted at MBDOU “Kindergarten No. 72”. The intellectual and physical development of the children corresponds to the norm.

Results. A study using the method “Diagnostics of the level of adaptation of a child to a preschool institution” by A. S. Ronzhina showed predominantly low and average levels of adaptation of younger preschoolers to kindergarten conditions. The results of a study using the method “Studying the degree of adaptation of a child to a preschool educational institution” by A.I. Ostroukhova also confirm that in younger preschoolers, adaptation processes have mostly a complicated level of manifestation or are completely absent (maladaptation). In general, the adaptability of most preschoolers is characterized by a low level, which manifests itself in an unstable emotional background of behavior, rejection of changes in the usual situation and passivity in relationships with children.

Discussion. The results obtained reflect the general trend noted in modern research and indicate the need for the organization of systematic psychological and pedagogical support for the process of adaptation of preschoolers to kindergarten conditions in order to comprehensively develop children in its educational environment. To achieve this goal, it is important to improve the emotional state of children, to facilitate the organization of their cooperation with adults and peers. The above is consistent with those relevant areas of work that are indicated in the state assignment for the provision of psychological, pedagogical, methodological and consulting services to parents.

Conclusion. Features of counseling parents are associated with the limited adaptive potential of children of primary preschool age (3-4 years), children may not be ready to leave the family, entering new social situations is complicated by individual characteristics and the crisis that arises at this stage of development. It is on these problems that a consultant participating in the implementation of the state assignment for the provision of services for psychological, pedagogical, methodological and consulting assistance to parents (legal representatives) of children, as well as citizens wishing to adopt children without parental care into their families, should be trained.

Highlights

The processes of adaptation of preschool children to kindergarten conditions have not yet been fully disclosed in psychological and pedagogical research, however, the available theoretical and methodological base is able to provide qualified assistance to the consultant;

The level of manifestation of destructions in the process of adaptation of younger preschoolers to the conditions of a preschool educational institution, up to the lag of neuropsychological development, can be reduced due to the systematic and systematic interaction of a psychologist with parents, especially in a family with a dominant overprotective style;

The integrative model of psychological counseling for parents of younger preschoolers to the conditions of a preschool educational institution consists of three interrelated blocks: formation of children's readiness to leave the family, formation of readiness to enter new social situations, provision of conditions for resolving the crisis of a child of 3-4 years.
