Results. The article compares tasks and exam questions in chemistry. With the help of psychological tests, the author identifies gifted children who have a strong interest to successfully take their Unified State Examination in chemistry and participate in Olympiads on the international level. This can be enhanced by the analysis of school curricular and identifying themes which may be complemented with informative material ensuring the development of cognitive culture of students.
