FORMATION OF LINGUISTIC AND CULTURAL STUDIES COMPETENCIES WITHIN THE DISCIPLINES OF THE MINOR-BLOCK “TATAR PHILOLOGY”
Abstracts

Introduction. The cultural values of any nation, its wealth are reflected not only in works of art, but also in historical documents. These documents include Muslim (mosque) books. Despite the fact that the books were compiled according to the rules of unification and standardization adopted at that time, the analyzed manuscripts provide rich material for linguistic research, primarily for onomastic and lexicographic ones. Mosque books are of particular value as a regional linguistic and cultural-linguistic source, since they reflect the dialectal peculiarities of pronunciation, the anthroponymic system of a certain area and a certain period, appellative vocabulary, and family relations are recorded.

Materials and methods. The main research methods were the analysis of scientific literature and manuscripts, descriptive and comparative analysis of the stages of work with the texts of regional mosque books.

Results. The definition of linguistic and culturological competencies is given, the linguistic and cultural significance of the source is substantiated, the factors that should be taken into account when working with the source are formulated, and individual possible tasks for classroom and independent work of students are presented.

Discussion. It is emphasized that the formation of linguistic and culturological competencies among university students will be facilitated by the knowledge gained in the framework of additional education “Tatar Philology”.

Conclusion. It is concluded that the use of regional source material will contribute to the formation of linguistic and cultural competence among students.

The essence of linguistic and cultural competence has been determined;

Formulated the rationale for the use of mosque books as a regional source that contributes to the formation of linguistic and cultural competencies among university students;

Possible tasks are presented when using a regional historical source in classes included in the Minor-block “Tatar Philology”;

Identified the main tasks that must be solved in the process of preparation and work using a regional source.
