Introduction. In the context of ensuring the quality of future teachers’ training, namely their professional development, formation of future teachers’ communicative skills is relevant. In this article, the authors substantiate the efficiency of the use of interactive, discussion and creative teaching methods to prepare students for meeting with a foreign language culture, for the organization of intercultural communication, for successful interaction with all participants in the educational process, which will indicate future teacher’s readiness for professional activities. The purpose of the article is to consider aspects of communication skills’ formation of as the basis for future teachers’ successful professional development.
Materials and methods. The main research methods are review of modern literature on the problem of the article, diagnostic techniques, monitoring, interview, analysis of the obtained data. The authors substantiated the expediency of using interactive, discussion and creative teaching methods to form future teachers’ communicative skills, which are the key to their successful professional development.
Results. The use of interactive, discussion and creative teaching methods, the purpose of which is to form future teachers’ communicative skills, allows them not only to organize the communication process according to the norms adopted in a particular culture, but also to teach students to verbal interaction with representatives of another culture.
Discussion. The problem of future foreign language teachers’ communicative training in an intercultural context and using modern teaching tools and technologies is actively studied in pedagogical science and linguodidactics. Analysis of modern scientific works on the problem of professional development of foreign language teachers in a communicative context confirmed the high relevance, scientific novelty and scientific potential of the topic.
Conclusion. The use of sociocultural stereotypes in the process of speech skills’ formation, as well as the use of interactive, discussion and creative teaching methods for the future teachers’ communicative skills’ formation allows them both to organize intercultural communication successfully and have a positive impact on the professional development of future teachers.
