APPLICATION OF THE CASE METHOD BASED ON AUTHENTIC MATERIALS FOR THE FORMATION OF THE LANGUAGE COMPETENCE OF THE FUTURE TEACHER OF A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Abstracts

Introduction. The main problem that this article is devoted to is the formation of future foreign language teachers' language competence, which implies the mastery of lexical, grammatical, semantic, phonological, spelling and orthoepic components. The purpose of the article is to consider the efficiency of the implementation of the process of teaching foreign languages' meta-subject orientation, one of the mechanisms for the implementation of which is the case method based on authentic materials.

Materials and methods. The authors presented in the article the possibilities of using the case method based on authentic materials in order to implement a meta-subject orientation for more effective formation of future foreign language teachers' language competence, which is an integral part of the professional training of a foreign language teacher, which is enshrined in the Federal State Standard of Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Results. The results of experimental work and the data of monitoring the employment of graduates indicate the efficiency of professional training, a high level of formation of professional competencies, the main of which is language competence, which allows training students for successful intercultural com-munication. Graduates note that the implementation of meta-subject orientation through a case method based on authentic materials not only forms language competence at a higher level, but also contributes to the growth of positive motivation and readiness to carry out professional activities.

Discussion. The authors present the results of the content analysis of works on the problem of forming the language competence of students. Important conditions for the effective formation of the students' language competence are the interactivity of linguistic education and the use of modern educational technologies by teachers. It is concluded that the proposals put forward in this article mainly correlate with the points of view of modern scientists and practitioners in the field of pedagogics of higher education and linguodidactics.

Conclusion. Practical activities at the Faculty of Foreign Languages confirmed the assumption that the organization of training based on meta-subject orientation using the case method forms not only language competence, but also contributes to the growth of students' readiness for future professional activities.
