FORMATION OF THE PROFESSIONAL VIABILITY OF A TECHNICAL SPECIALIST AS AN URGENT PROBLEM OF PEDAGOGY OF HIGHER EDUCATION
Abstracts

Introduction. The urgency of the problem of formation of professional wellness of students of technical universities - future specialists, is due to the instability of the labor market and, in general, professional activity. Undergoing changes, each professional field challenges not only current, but also future subjects of professional activity, and hence the entire system of higher education. At the same time, over a long period of professional activity, in order to increase and maintain professional wellness, it is not enough to limit oneself to the level of basic competencies obtained as a result of studying at a higher educational institution. Professional wellness is directly proportional to the level of implementation of current goals and external requests, including in the context of a change in work activity. The complexity in the formation of professional wellness at the stage of professional training is supported by both insufficient pedagogical knowledge of the phenomenon of professional wellness and psychological instability in the context of unforeseen development of professional technical fields. A forward look at the formation of the professional wellness of a future specialist should be supported by a methodological study of this problem.

Materials and Methods. The methodological basis for studying the problem of forming the professional wellness of future specialists is the provisions of pedagogy and psychology about a person as a subject of labor activity. The paper provides a theoretical analysis of the psychological and pedagogical literature, best practices and the results of empirical studies of the professional development of the individual.

Results. The paper substantiates the need for the formation of professional wellness at the stage of training in a higher educational institution. Professional wellness is considered as a dynamic structure, the non-linear nature of which is due to a number of factors influencing the process of professional development of the individual: social, biological, individual psychological, etc. Not only was an analysis of approaches to the concept of “professional wellness”, but also identified the features of the process of formation professional wellness of the future specialist, which made it possible to give the author's interpretation of this term. Structural components and characteristics of this phenomenon are singled out. The theoretical foundations of the process of formation of educational and professional wellness will allow focusing on important aspects of the pre-professional stage.

Discussion. The discussion is based on the analysis of the attitude of modern students of technical universities to the process of professional formation, an important place in which is occupied by professional wellness. Students need to realize themselves in professional activity, the effectiveness of this process is determined by the activity of the subject of educational and professional and subsequently professional activity. Professional wellness can be discussed not only after reaching the heights of professionalism — acme, but already at the stage of professional training, and professional dynamism will correlate with the dynamism of professional wellness, which varies depending on the implementation of the goals.

Conclusion. Professional wellness reflects not only the success of self-realization in the professional sphere, it characterizes the real level of ability to work in conditions of changing both external and internal conditions of this process. The solution of professionally significant problems is determined by the current level of professional wellness. It is necessary to promote the formation of professional wellness of future specialists. Reliance on the internal potential of the subject of professional activity will give grounds for its development. The effectiveness of regulating the process of forming professional wellness by preparing university students for professional activity in conditions of reorientation, transformation of approaches, learning to independently search for solutions, becoming a personality as a subject of work, as well as the level of impact on its main components predetermine the nature of changes in professional wellness: chaotic, cyclical or purposeful.

Highlights

The educational and professional wellness of a student at the stage of professional training plays a special role in the formation of the professional wellness of a future specialist. As a result of the transformation of educational and professional activity into a professional one, the ways of implementing the tasks set, all previous experience are transferred, and the improvement of professional wellness is broadcast;

The structural components of professional wellness are cognitive, functional, emotional-volitional, behavioral components;

The dynamism of professional wellness is determined by the activity of the subject of professional activity in relation to the implementation of intermediate goals, as well as changes in the professional activity of a specialist.
