Introduction. The article studies the relevance of investigating all aspects of integration as a synthesis of parts into a whole, which is the basis of engineers’ integrated professional readiness and the educational process of its development due to changing labor market conditions along with the current geopolitical situation. The article aims at defining aspects and levels of integration in engineering education.
Materials and Methods. The study is based on dialectical, system and integrative approaches. Integration levels are defined through theoretical analysis, synthesis and classification. Integration aspects are characterized by analyzing standards, studying educational experience and modeling the educational process. The methodological idea of implementing the integrated educational process of future engineers’ training has been tested in the pedagogical experiment through students’ assignments analysis.
Results. The levels of integration (general theoretical, pedagogical and methodological) and aspects of integration (in terms of competences and goals, educational content, organizational methods, forms, means and student-teacher interaction) have been presented. The methodological idea of implementing the integrated educational process of future engineers’ training has been described and tested.
Discussion. The unexplored types of integration have been developed based on the levels and aspects of engineering education, which contributes to the professional education theory development. The results have been proved theoretically and tested experimentally.
Conclusion. The authors came to the conclusion that integration in engineering education helps synthesize the development of engineers’ universal and professional competences and therefore contributes to the formation of their integrative readiness to professional activity using foreign language skills.
