EVALUATION OF RISK FACTORS FOR THE FORMATION OF DEPENDENT BEHAVIOR IN FIRST AND SECOND YEAR STUDENTS
Abstracts

Introduction. The relevance of the work is due to the spread of addictive behavior among young people against the background of the socio-economic situation and the consequences of the pandemic. The obtained research results will allow us to develop recommendations for the training of teachers and curators in carrying out preventive work of antisocial behavior and adaptation of students at the university, as well as to provide them with psychological and pedagogical assistance in a timely manner. The aim of the work is to assess the risk factors for the formation of addictive behavior in first- and second-year students of the South Ural State University of Chelyabinsk.

Materials and Methods. 2,413 first- and second-year students of the South Ural State University of Chelyabinsk took part in the research. To diagnose the psychological propensity to develop dependent behavior in first- and second-year students, we used the "Propensity test for dependent behavior" by V.D. Mendelevich. To identify the health risks associated with alcohol consumption, The RUS-AUDIT test (The Russian Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test) adapted and validated for the Russian Federation was used. The Fagerstrom test made it possible to assess the degree of nicotine dependence in smoking students. To assess the risk of drug addiction (determining the presence of drug use experience and the presence of users in the environment of the subject) a questionnaire of 4 open questions was compiled.

Results. More than 90 % of first and second year students have a tendency to form dependent behavior. At the same time, 60% of students have a high and above average degree of propensity to form psychosocial addictions.

Discussion. When training teachers and curators in carrying out preventive work of antisocial behavior, it is necessary to take into account the high propensity of students to form dependent behavior. Most addictions primarily affect the psychological and physical health of a person, the attitude to reality changes, cognitive processes deteriorate and the adaptive mechanisms of the body decrease.

Conclusion. It was revealed that about 60% of first and second year students of South Ural State University have a high and above average propensity to form addictive behavior. The main external risk factors that can contribute to the formation of addictive behavior of students associated with the use of surfactants are: the use of surfactants in the family and among friends; the presence of acquaintances using surfactants.
