FORMATION OF CONSTRUCTIVE COPING STRATEGIES AMONG PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS BY MEANS OF ART THERAPY UNDER CONDITIONS OF INFORMATION AGGRESSION
Abstracts

Introduction. The article substantiates the relevance of the formation of effective strategies for coping behavior of students of a pedagogical university by means of art therapy. Students have a rather narrow range of coping strategies. Students have insufficiently formed productive coping strategies, which determines an increased level of mental and physical discomfort. Art therapy is one of the topical areas of modern psychology, which has proven its effectiveness in solving problems associated with overcoming stress. The purpose of the article is to theoretically substantiate, develop and experimentally test the effectiveness of a psychological and pedagogical model for the formation of productive coping strategies for students of a pedagogical university by means of art therapy.

Materials and methods. A set of mutually complementary methods: theoretical (analysis and generalization of psychological, pedagogical, methodological literature, synthesis, comparison); empirical (stating, forming, control experiment, questioning, testing by psychodiagnostic methods), statistical methods of processing. We have used the following methods:

1. Coping behavior in stressful situations (R. Lazarus).

2. Methods for the psychological diagnosis of coping mechanisms (E. Heim)

3. G. Eysenck-Wilson test to determine the level of emotional stability.

Results. A psychological and pedagogical model for the formation of productive coping strategies for students of a pedagogical university has been developed; the authors present a description of the main stages of the model, art therapy technologies, working practitioners, identify and describe effective methods of art therapy and methods of working with students of a pedagogical university to form productive coping strategies.

Discussion. It is emphasized that the effectiveness of the model is the correspondence of the personal development of a student of a pedagogical university to the model of a graduate. The article reveals the main psychological mechanisms of coping behavior, proves the effectiveness of the use of art therapy methods for the formation of constructive coping strategies for students of a pedagogical university. The creative activity of students aimed at creating works of art is considered by the authors as a cathartic procedure that gives great potential for self-expression and has a positive effect on intragroup communication.

Conclusion. It is concluded that the implementation of the psychological and pedagogical model for the formation of constructive coping strategies by means of art therapy in conditions of information aggressiveness will contribute to the formation and development of a competitive stress-resistant personality of the future teacher. Creative activity in itself is a constructive type of coping behavior based on the mechanisms of artistic expression and symbolization, which help to express negative experiences associated with a difficult life situation in an environmentally friendly way. It has also been proven that the methods of art therapy are effective as a tool for the formation of constructive coping strategies, as they contribute to decenting (switching attention), externalization and projection of one’s inner experiences to the outside, the ability to safely live a stressful situation in a creative act and thereby resolve it. in real life.
