SYSTEM FOR ORGANIZING INDEPENDENT WORK OF STUDENTS OF A PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY
Abstracts

Introduction. The article deals with the problem of organizing independent work of students in a pedagogical university. The relevance of the problem under consideration is due to the increased requirements for the level of pedagogical training of future teachers of secondary schools. Independent work at the university is a mandatory component of the educational process aimed at mastering the basic professional educational program of higher education. Independent work is understood as the planned process of students performing tasks of various levels of complexity both under the guidance and methodological support of the teacher, and without his direct participation. The results of theoretical and empirical research allowed us to conclude that it is necessary to develop a system for organizing independent work of students aimed at creating a strictly structured, regulated and corrected system of actions that ensure guaranteed results.

Materials and methods. The study used theoretical (analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, generalization and systematization, modeling) and empirical (observation, questionnaire) methods. Competence-based, activity-based and technological approaches were identified as the methodological basis for the development of a system for organizing independent work of students at the university.

Results. A system of organizing independent work of students has been developed and theoretically substantiated. Methodological approaches are considered, structural components of the system of organization of independent work of students are determined, their content is disclosed. Pedagogical conditions are revealed: an individually differentiated approach to the organization of independent work of students; activation of students' mental activity as a means of developing their independence; ensuring the relationship of independent work of students with professional and pedagogical activities, the interrelated use of which contributes to the effective functioning of the developed system of organizing independent work of students.

Discussion. The process of organizing independent work of students, being an important component of professional and pedagogical training, includes the following components: motivational and target, the task of which is to form a positive attitude among students to the organization of independent work in the classroom and, especially in extracurricular time, the motive for mastering the skills and competencies of self-education, self-organization, self-management, self-control and self-assessment, reflection skills content-technological, including the organization of classroom and extracurricular work of students using active and interactive teaching methods and modern educational technologies; control-reflexive, the purpose of which is to organize feedback, obtaining information that allows timely organizing corrective actions to eliminate difficulties or gaps in mastering the skills and methods of independent activities. The reflexive aspect of this component ensures that the subject refers to himself, his activity, and the products of his own activity. The effective functioning and development of the developed system is achieved by the interconnection and interaction of its structural components and their functions.

Conclusion. The formation of a creative personality who knows how to independently study the psychological and pedagogical problems of modern education, ready to solve a variety of professional tasks is the primary goal of training future teachers. The educational process, focused on the systematic organization of independent work, allows students to master the content of the discipline, develop the ability to independently acquire and create knowledge, learn to manage their activities, exercise self–control, work in a team, form professionally important qualities — organization, discipline, independence, responsibility.
