PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL PATTERNS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF PERSONALITY IN FOREIGN SCIENCE
Abstracts

Introduction. At the present stage of the implementation of patriotic education of the individual, with the development of information and communication technologies, the opportunities for free participation in the discussion of political issues have expanded unprecedentedly. In this regard, efforts to understand the role of new media in national security thinking and to promote the importance of mastering new media literacy among researchers, educators, and policymakers continue to evolve. However, in the scientific literature there are no sufficient generalizations regarding the patterns of patriotic education of the individual in the context of the above. The purpose of the article was to identify psychological and pedagogical patterns of the implementation of patriotic education of the individual in foreign science

Materials and Methods. The study used theoretical and empirical methods: literature analysis, generalization, comparison, synthesis, goal setting and modeling. A model was built to study the works of foreign authors. The model built to study the works of foreign authors included goals, sample characteristics, and epistemological beliefs. The inductive method and the concept of textual analysis were used to classify topics contained in curricula and textbooks. Materials of scientific research conducted in several states (Israel, China, Mozambique, New Zealand, Singapore, USA, Taiwan, Turkey and Ethiopia) were studied; conducted an analysis of surveys by YouGov plc, a British international Internet company engaged in research in Europe, North America, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.

Results. A 2021 YouGov poll found that high moral principles are associated with social cohesion and higher levels of patriotism; a decrease in blind patriotism and an increase in constructive. The analysis revealed three main characteristics of the content of patriotic education: emphasis on sovereignty, patriotism and responsibility; ambivalence towards independence from richer nations and abstractness in content.

Discussion. From the point of view of educational psychology, it was important for us to find out how foreign researchers relate to the personality of a teacher of civic qualities. And they found not only a positive answer, but also conclusions that teacher educators play a fundamental role in the development of values. For this purpose, for example, the values of not only a specific social group of the institution, but also of society as a whole are mastered. These are, on the one hand, values localized in the minds of people and manifested in contexts, for example, courage, patriotism, loyalty, devotion, honesty and love for the profession. On the other hand, these are values relating to character, duty and tradition, that is, hidden constructs, they are present in the everyday behavior of individuals and activities, for example, national unity, discipline, perseverance, punctuality, courage, respect, dedication, ethics.

Conclusion. A study of foreign published works has shown that patriotism and nationalism are different forms of national attachment, which often predict different attitudes. In general, the formation of patriotism integrates the development of media literacy skills of citizens, national security awareness, trust in the media (domestic or foreign) and access to political information.
