Вступление. В статье обоснована актуальность преподавания перевода эквивалентной лексики как компонента социокультурной компетенции в условиях глобализации. Представлены классификации эквивалентного словаря и методов его перевода, составленные ранее ведущими лингвистами. Результаты изучения эквивалентной лексики в немецком литературном тексте и его эквивалентах переведены на русский язык. Целью статьи является выявление и обоснование основных способов перевода эквивалентного словаря в целях повышения эффективности учебного процесса путем перевода эквивалентного словаря как компонента социокультурной компетенции.

Materials and methods. The material of the study is the German equivalent vocabulary in the tales of Brothers Grimm and its correspondence in the translation of G. Petnikov into Russian. The main research methods are comparative analysis, the method of quantitative calculation, the method of distributive analysis, the descriptive method.

Results. The main ways of translating different groups of equivalent vocabulary in the artistic text are revealed, which can be recommendations in the process of teaching the translation of this group of vocabulary.

Discussion. It is emphasized that the teaching of the equivalent vocabulary’ translation in the literary text is a special section and requires a separate approach.
