THE DYNAMICS OF MORAL AND ECONOMIC SELF-DETERMINATION OF YOUTH IN CONDITIONS OF PROBLEMATIC POLYLOGUE
Abstracts

Introduction. The article substantiates the relevance of the stu-dy of moral and economic self-determination of youth in their unity. The approach to the study of moral and economic self-determination as a dynamic integrative formation is substantiated. The significance of the interpretation of this neoplasm as an interpsychic one formed in the context of the problem polylogue is emphasized. Purpose of research, presented in the article, was to identify trends in the formation of optimal age-normative levels of moral and econo-mic self-determination related to the planning of life plans in groups of boys and girls who are brought up in two different social situations of development (in families and children's home). The problem of the study was to identify the principles of organization of interactive situations of problem dialogue, contributing to the dynamics of moral

 

and economic self-determination of youth in the direction of age-normative optimum.

Materials and methods. The main methods of the study were the analysis of literature presented in the field of economic psycho-logy, psychology of personality, psychology of education, which allows to characterize the subject of the study: moral and economic self-determination and the specifics of educational situations for the organization of genetic modeling research. As the main method used psychological and pedagogical experiment, organized in the form of developing elective classes using interactive methods. As a method of identifying empirical manifestations of the dynamics of moral and economic self-determination, the method of expert evaluation of the semantic positions of the participants of interactive classes with the subsequent content analysis for their correlation with the conditional scale of gradations characterizing their dynamics.

Results. The article describes the results of psychological and pedagogical experiment in two samples of high school students, conducted in the form of a discussion club on the resolution of conditional problem-conflict situations. The article presents comparative data on the dynamics of self-determination of youth, starting from its initial cognitive forms of orientation in conditional situations of employment in the direction of its transformation into an orientation in the tasks of planning their own lives. For content analysis of semantic positions of the participants of the discussions the scale of gradations is applied, the validity of which is confirmed.

Discussion. The study allowed to identify gradations of transition to such levels at which the moral and economic self-determination of participants was not only expressed in a detailed, productive discu-ssion of aspects of multi-valued situations, pre-set in developing an in-teractive course of classes, but manifested in the intentions of parti-cipants to actively implement ethical and economic principles in their unity outside the classroom in their planned personal life situations.

 

The study allowed to compare the dynamics of high school students from families and children's homes in the process of their movement to meaningful levels of moral and economic self-determination, which would be formalized in their productive life plans.

Conclusion. The chosen methodological approach to the analysis of the dynamics of moral and economic self-determination on the basis of fixing the change of semantic positions of the polylogue participants was productive for the characteristics of normative-age achievements of social and personal maturity of high school students.

Thanks to the study, it was possible to outline the prospects of studying the psychological conditions and mechanisms of formation of moral and economic self-determination of young men and girls who are brought up in alternative social situations of development, to describe the originality of the trajectories of ascent to its most productive and meaningful levels.

Highlights

On the basis of the presented research the approach to the study of moral and economic self-determination as a dynamic integrative neoplasm of adolescence is substantiated. The importance of the interpretation of this new formation as an interpsychic one formed in the context of the problem polylogue and expressed in the semantic position of the author of statements in the context of such polylogue is emphasized. The characteristic of the dynamics of semantic positions of high school students from families and children's homes in a specialized elective, which indicates the trend of transition from low cognitive levels of moral and economic self-determination in problem-


conflict situations in the direction of the analysis of these situations from the perspective of personal life design.
