DYNAMICS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH OF STUDENTS OF PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY DEPENDING ON THE SOCIAL AND PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS OF THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Abstracts

Introduction. Recently, questions of the mental state of the country's population have become increasingly relevant. At the meeting of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection (14. 05.2018) special attention was paid to the wide distribution of behavioral affec-

tive disorders, desadaptation, high suicide rates and aggression among young people. In this regard, it is important to study the different aspects of the psychological health of young people.

The purpose of the work is to study the state of psychological health of students depending on the socio-pedagogical conditions of the educational environment of the university.

Materials and methods. The study was based on the results of testing students aged 18–22 at a Pedagogical University in Novosibirsk and its branch in Kuibyshev with the help of an author’s computer program. The obtained data were processed by methods of variation and differential statistics.

Results. It is shown that the level of socio-psychological adaptation to the university in most indicators characterizing the mental sphere of the personality and neurophysiological indicators is significantly higher among Novosibirsk 1st year students than in Kuibyshev, but by the 4th year these differences are leveled.

Discussion. The differences in the level of socio-psychological adaptation and psycho-emotional state of female students of the university, depending on the course of study, socio-economic, ethnic, sexual and regional factors are discussed.

Conclusion. The socio-pedagogical features of the educational environment of the University significantly affect the formation of individual psychological characteristics of students and, as a result, affect the psychological health  of young people.

Keywords

mental and psychological health, socio-psychological adaptation, psycho-emotional indicators, neurodynamic indicators, educational environment

Highlights

The psychological health of female students in higher education institutions can be described as good, taking into account age and territorial (social) living and educational conditions;

In first-year female students the level of socio-psychological adap-

tation to learning is higher in the metropolis compared with the district center and depends more on the neurodynamic, psycho-emotional and personal characteristics than that of university graduates.
