WAYS TO INCREASE THE DIGITAL LITERACY OF FUTURE TEACHERS WHEN PREPARING TEXT DOCUMENTS
Abstracts

Introduction. This article analyzes the concept of digital literacy formation of future teachers in the context of the model used in the SUSSPU Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education. The model of formation of digital culture of a teacher is considered, which provides for the formation of an initial level of digital culture for all first-year students of the "Teacher education" direction within the framework of educational(introductory) practice. Special attention is paid to the key elements of digital literacy, which are responsible for the preparation of high-quality text documents. The topic of practical exercises aimed at improving the level of digital literacy of students in the process of preparing text documents has been developed.

Materials and methods. Key methods of scientific cognition were used in the study: observation, experiment, analysis and synthesis of the obtained data. In the course of the research, we analyzed the problems that future teachers face when compiling text documents.

Results. It is established that students have insufficient skills in working with word processors, find it difficult to apply them to solve pedagogical problems. The topic and structure of practical classes for improving the digital literacy of future teachers in the preparation of text documents has been developed. Practical tasks were successfully tested.

Discussion. High-quality preparation of text documents contributes to a more efficient organization of the educational process, effective exchange of documents in and out of school.  During the course of studying at the university, students are required to formalize the results of their academic and scientific work in the form of essays, term papers and projects, practice reports, as well as final qualification work.  A text document that is correctly designed by the student will be one of the signs of formation ICT competencies.

Conclusion. It is concluded that high-quality design of text documents is one of the important components of ICT competence for future teachers and, as a result, has a decisive role on the level of their digital literacy.
