Introduction.Т he article is devoted to the problem of studying and identifying elements of upbringing and forming value orientations of a teenager's personality through objective psychological methods of techniques and diagnostic elements. The main, basic methods of diagnosing the value orientations of a teenager are considered. The purpose of the article is to reveal the features and specifics of diagnosis, as well as the essence of methods for identifying the level of value orientations of a teenager. It is fundamentally important to accurately and correctly diagnose the study of the value sphere, and when identifying negative factors in the development of value orientations, delicately correct and carefully direct to humane, positive universal values.
Materials and methods. The main research methods are the analysis of scientific literature devoted to the problem of forming value orientations of a teenager's personality, as well as classical and modern diagnostic methods, including observation, description, conversation, questioning, testing, training, and methods of statistical data processing.
Results. An innovative functional educational program has been developed that contributes to creating conditions for identifying, supporting and further developing and forming the value orientations of a teenager's personality; the characteristics of the main components of the model, technologies, and working practices are presented; effective methods and techniques of work aimed at the formation of humane, positive universal values are identified and described.
Discussion. It is emphasized that timely identification and further development in the formation of value orientations of a teenager's personality through the use of productive methods and correctly selected diagnostic techniques has a huge impact on the upbringing and development of a child's value orientations.
Conclusion. It is concluded that it is necessary to correctly use the diagnostics of the study of the value sphere, and when identifying negative factors in the development of value orientations, to carry out corrective work and carefully direct it to humane, positive universal values.
