COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN IN THE PROCESS OF SOLVING SITUATIONAL PROBLEMS
Abstracts

Introduction. The article deals with the current trends of cognitive development of preschool children. Features of cognitive development in the learning process, taking into account the GEF preschool education. Possibilities and necessity of solving problems of cognitive


development on the basis of ecological and mathematical content in the process of solving situational problems.

Materials and methods. Methods of research are the analysis of scientific literature devoted to the problem of cognitive development of preschool children; as well as diagnostic methods, including observation, description, conversation, methods of statistical data processing.

Results. In the basis of cognitive development of children taking into account the ecological and mathematical content in the process of solving situational problems, we have identified the main stages and components: Motivational stage; Substantive and procedural stage; Reflexive evaluation stage.

Discussion. It is emphasized that the modern cognitive development of preschool children, taking into account the GEF preschool education involves solving problems of environmental and mathematical content and is associated not so much with subject knowledge, but with the intellectual development of children, logical mental operations and structures.

Conclusion. It is concluded that the cognitive development of preschool children should be carried out within the framework of problem learning in the process of solving situational problems with ecological and mathematical content.

Highlights

In the basis of the content of the cognitive development of preschool children in the process of solving situational problems with environmental and mathematical content we have identified the main stages of learning. The unity of pedagogical science and practice is manifested, based on our position, in the fact that:

 

1) they both implement the same social function-preparing the younger generation to participate in the life of the cognitive development of children;

2) the process of cognition is associated with the formation of a holistic picture of the world and the introduction of preschool children to the accumulated experience of mankind.
